My recent stay at the hotel was nothing short of delightful. The views over Cork were absolutely breathtaking, especially enjoyed from the outdoor terrace. The facilities were excellent, particularly the indoor pool and spa, which provided a perfect retreat after a long day of exploring. However, I found accessing certain areas a bit confusing, and the location being quite hilly made transport to the city center a bit of a hassle.

Rooms
The room was spacious, immaculate, and featured a stunning view from the balcony, making it a perfect retreat. Rating: 10

The service provided by the staff was truly remarkable; they were genuinely helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. Rating: 10
Location
Perched on a hill, the hotel's location allows for tranquil views over the city, but it can be a bit of a trek back to the center, especially for those unfamiliar with hilly terrain. Rating: 7
Dining
While the breakfast and dining options were good, I felt there could have been a bit more variety on the menu. Rating: 8

The Montenotte Hotel offered a lovely experience during our 30th anniversary trip, with its upscale ambiance and beautiful city views. The attention to detail and personalized touches, like a bottle of champagne in our room, were thoughtful and added to our stay. However, we found ourselves spending so much time exploring Cork that we barely got to enjoy the hotel's amenities, particularly the pool's limited hours for children, which was a disappointment.

Rooms
8.0
Our room was well-appointed and spacious, with a great view over the city. It felt modern and comfortable, but the dark decor wasn't to my taste.
Service
9.0
The service was attentive and the staff went out of their way to make our stay special, from the welcome champagne to the personalized turn down service.
Location
8.0
Situated in an upscale neighborhood with easy access to the city, the Montenotte Hotel offers stunning views, though getting to the city center requires a bit of planning.
Dining
7.0
We had breakfast in the dining room, which offered a decent selection of tasty options, but we didn’t have time to try the restaurant at night. I wish we had.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel has a nice pool and a fitness center, but the pool's restrictions on children's hours limited our enjoyment. It would be nice to have more flexibility.

I had a pleasant stay, with beautiful views and impressive amenities, but the challenges with access roads and underwhelming dining options left some room for improvement. The staff were accommodating, and I appreciated the opportunity to explore the hotel's outdoor spaces, though I think the food could use some refinement. Overall, I would consider returning, especially for the leisure facilities.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were clean, equipped with everything I needed, but I struggled a bit with the heating system, not quite reaching my comfort level.
Service
8.0
Service was generally very helpful, attending to my requests promptly, though I noticed some inconsistencies with wifi access.
Location
6.0
The hotel is perched on a hill, offering stunning views of the city, but accessing it via the narrow roads can be a challenge for nervous drivers.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was a bit disappointing, especially the dinner menu that felt overly complicated and not satisfying, while breakfast was more enjoyable.
Facilities
9.0
The hotel's amenities, including the nice pool area and gym, were truly impressive and added to the overall experience.

This hotel offers beautiful interiors and an elegant atmosphere, making it a lovely place to unwind. The staff members are incredibly accommodating, but there are some inconsistencies with room readiness and dining experiences that need addressing. Overall, while the stay was enjoyable with excellent leisure facilities, improvements in service consistency would greatly enhance guest satisfaction.

Rooms

The rooms were beautifully decorated, though some needed refurbishments, particularly in the bathrooms.
Service

While the staff were friendly and attentive, there were some delays and lapses in service during our stay.

My stay was fantastic! I was thoroughly impressed by the gorgeous modern decor and the overall clean atmosphere. Each encounter with the staff reaffirmed their commitment to excellent service, as they went out of their way to ensure all my needs were met. However, the pool was a bit colder than I would have liked, especially for families. Despite this, the dining options were exceptional, making up for it with delicious meals and outstanding views of the city.

Rooms
9.0
The rooms were spacious and maintained to a high standard. Daily cleaning was on point, and I loved the coffee machine provided.
Service

The service was outstanding, with staff checking in to ensure everything was to my liking. They demonstrated impressive attention to detail.

Located on a hill, the view of Cork city was breathtaking. While walking down to the city centre was manageable, the uphill return felt a bit challenging at times.
